Duran Duran, R.E.M., Tears For Fears, Steve Perry, ABC, Gary Numan

I hope you all appreciate the work I do here. I have 5 browsers open to verify the information that I post here. Man, these pretzels are making me thirsty.

Ok, in saying that, I'm having a hard time with this one. I know it's the 2nd Duran Duran video posted in the past couple of days, but it's worth it. This looks more like a "promo" than a video. What's the difference you may ask? I have no freakin' idea. But if there were a difference, this would be it.

"Friends Of Mine" - Duran Duran

REM's first single, Radio Free Europe did it for me. It made me realize that there was more to life than "new wave". Pound for pound, REM is my favorite band of all time. They have changed their sound as time goes by, yet are still able to keep the original feel that made me like them in the first place.

As with REM, Tears For Fears are also one of my faves. This is a "rare" video from them. "The Way You Are" was released as a single between the albums "The Hurting" (my favorite album of all time) and "Songs From The Big Chair".

King Perry! I mean... Steve Perry and his song "Oh Sherrie". The fact that the video starts off with Steve Perry in a King costume, cracks me up! I bestow this video unto you on behalf of my sister Sherrie.

Possibly the epitome of cheesey 80's videos right here folks! ABC's "The Look Of Love". Remember when this was considered cool? Nah, me neither.

Gary Numan was known for "Cars". Can anyone name another song of his? Well, I can... and here's the video. It's not actually a video. It's a performance from The Old Grey Whistle Test. TOGWT ran from 1971-1987 on BBC2 in the U.K. and hosted a vast array of talent. Quite a few videos will be posted here from that show.
